Garden Design Process

We tailor our services to meet your individual needs and requirements.

Consultation

This involves a site visit and meeting to discuss the needs and requirements of the site and its users. This can be a one off meeting to simply give advice or a first step to creating a full garden design and its construction. Each meeting usually takes an average of one to two hours.

Before a meeting we like to ask the client to jot down their requirements for the garden along with photos and articles from magazines etc… these all help the designer to understand the clients brief.

Concept plan

Following a Consultation a Concept plan can be produced based upon the points discussed. This consists of a scaled plan of the garden and proposed layout.

A Concept plan is an invaluable tool as it enables the client to budget for the work alternatively if the client wishes the garden to be created in more than one stage then this is entirely possible.

The client will be provided with two copies of the proposed scheme and will include a colour copy on request.

Once the plan has been completed a second meeting will be required to discuss the proposed design and next stage.

A written quotation to create the Concept plan is produced and agreed before work starts.

Planting plan

This can follow a Concept plan or be an entirely individual service. The area will be surveyed and a meeting to discuss plant details such as colour, height, scent etc… will be arranged to ensure the scheme meets with your requirements.

You may have a small border which needs a revamp or a large expanse of ground which needs some colour and foliage introducing. Whatever the situation a planting scheme can be produced to meet with your needs.

A planting plan usually outlines plant varieties, numbers and spacing’s followed by the sourcing and selection of plants, followed by the setting out and planting of plants. A maintenance schedule can be produced as well as a seasonal pruning service.

We work with a small selection of quality plant nurseries to supply the best possible specimens for each project.

A written quotation to create a planting plan will be produced and agreed before work is started.

Landscaping

We use several professional landscaping individuals and teams, who work to a very high standard when putting our plans into practice making your garden a reality.

We also consider working with firms that the client wishes to put forward.

Please contact us if you require more assistance.

Plant Sourcing and Planting

This is usually the final stage to completing your dream garden.

Once the hard landscaping has been completed and the plants to be used discussed and agreed, then these are supplied and planted by ourselves.

We source and supply quality plants from local suppliers and endeavour to provide these at reasonable prices.

A quotation to supply and install plant material will be produced and agreed before work goes ahead.

Alternatively if you are looking for something specific then all you have to do is ask and we will endeavour to locate it. This can be for just one plant or for 100’s.

WE CAN SOURCE: BEDDING PLANTS, SHRUBS, PERENNIALS, HERBS, FLOWERING SHRUBS, ESPALIER, SPECIMEN TREES, SPECIMEN SHRUBS, CLIMBERS, AQUATICS, FRUIT TREES, HEDGING, HOUSE PLANTS, TOPIARY, PLANTED BASKETS AND POTS, ARCHITECTURAL PLANTS, BAMBOO, GRASSES, FERNS, BULBS, ALPINES, WILD FLOWERS,….

Maintenance

Once your garden has been constructed we would be happy to assist in its maintenance and upkeep. We can therefore do one of two things- either produce an annual maintenance schedule or arrange to visit the garden at particular times during the year.
